Do I need a professional to fit it?

There's no need to seek out a professional installer for this one. You can do it yourself in under 2 hours. Then after that, the smart 8 bolt quick 2-person lift design can be removed or refitted in just a few minutes.

Is the canopy weatherproof?

Yes. The canopy is weatherproof, UV, rot and mildew resistant and is super easy to clean. This technical tonneau material has stood the test of time, shrugging off the harsh Australian sun, extreme winds and pouring rain. The WILDBACK's unique arched design has been specifically designed to aid in water runoff.

Will it be noisy or use more fuel on the highway?

No significant change in fuel costs thanks to the lightweight yet highly durable design. No howling wind noise even when driving at highway speeds.

Will a canopy affect my ute's handling or towing?

Just remember when choosing a canopy that it increases your ute's GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) and can affect its steering, handling and towing ability. This can limit the number of people and pets who can ride with you. That's another reason why our innovative 'no-compromises' design is as lightweight as possible at just 20kg.

Great Canopy

Canopy arrived only a few days after ordering, frame is solid and was easy to fit along with the vinyl cover. Overall a value for money purchase.

TRAY CANOPY

The order was OK....but it all happened too fast, as I cannot now fit it - due to the tray upright which is inside the tray body. Your web site is a little unclear re this , and I didn't discover this problem until the day after i made the order. my fault, but your web instructions need some clarity I think, I am now faced with the problem of on-selling the canopy - hence this poor revue.

Our tray canopies arent suitable with anything that fits inside the tray, such as a headboard. As mentioned on our website, if you have a headboard that protrudes into the tray to please reach out to our customer service team.

Canvas canopy looks tidy and compliments the Hilux well.
Very sturdy frame which the canvas slides tight and firm. The framework is straight forward to install with the correct tools also.
I was expecting a blue canvas canopy from the website images yet I received a black canvas canopy instead, which was a pleasant surprise and much prefer the black.
Packaging was really tidy, all framework was nicely wrapped and all parts where easy to identify within the wrapping.
Bunji loops on the canvas fastened perfectly to the buttons already installed on my tray making installation much easier.
Literally cannot fault this product as it has exceeded my expectations.
